Scam Alert: Fraudulent Court Documents Sent Via Email

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Oklahoma has alerted us that scammers are sending fraudulently produced official-looking, but fictitious, court documents (see attached example here) to people via email and asking them to call a number to resolve the issue. Some of the fake documents even purport to contain the signature of a federal judge.

Orlando – Some area residents have received fake court emails notifying them of a pending court case. The emails are crafted to look as though they are sent via the Florida Courts E-filing portal and purport to contain attached court documents.
